DC training.

Yes I love it.

best tips i gots.
Keep a log of your workout. Dont think you can do it without a log. You cant. It's easy to remember(for chest)on Monday I did bench and wed I did dips and sat I did incline dumbells But after about two weeks it's lost. I'm not even saying go in there with a structure just write down the bust ass sets. Like incline 315x9,x4,x1+fail.

Tell the people you talk to in the gym that your going to be busting your ass in the gym and your conversation is going to be minimal. Get your playlist going and ear buds in and don't talk. Say focused and move. Dc training takes an intensity that can't be interrupted by the guy you usually talk about hockey, or the hot trainer, or the milfs with. Headphones never come out of my ears.

drink tons of water before and while your at the gym. A sick whole body pump is awesome and one of the reasons I like dc training but without enough water your not going to get that pump.

Fail on the negative! Make sure your gym has some plate loaded machines for days you don't have a partner or just to change things up.

Yea have done the same, its pretty hard to do without the partner tho. It most definitely yields results. I ve seen plenty myself from the short month that I have done DC. Its an incredible workout and the amount of times you hit each muscle group is phenomenal. Its rough, but totally worth it.

The best tip to give is give it a chance and try your best.

LOVE IT! Eat your ass off, leave everything in the gym. Take your time from exercise to exercise, maybe 5 minutes. Forget about the static holds till about a year in to it. Dont be afraid of machines or the smith machine. Really push yourself on the stretches, and fuck flat bench.

Keep your log organized and clean. Don't be afraid to use the 2.5lb plates. As long as your moving up. I love DC, and will be back at it soon. You really need to find a place in your head to turn ugly for the weights, and a place of calm during the stretches.

Most importantly...DO NOT TWEAK ANYTHING IN DC, OTHERWISE YOU AIN'T DOING DC ANYMORE.

Most definitely. When people start going out of their way to talk about your routine, don't say DC, say Dogg Crapp! Ha ha, watch their faces turn into confusion like is he ducking with me or is he for real? Ha ha!

I agree, fuck flat bench. When u start repping 315 on the incline, then you really turn some heads. Tore my rotator three years ago and tried to flat bench and fucked it all up again. So, I havent done it since. A steady dose of pushups will take care of that area

Its funny I always thought that 315 for reps in the incline was the paramount of what I might be able to do. About 12 months ago I pressed 315 for 12 on the incline and I was walking around like I got my first blow job.

It is a great feeling putting up so much f'n weight. Shootin for 315 on barbell shoulder press now

Ive been doing it and its pretty awesome. You will get your ass handed to you if you do it right so make sure to take a break and cruise for a week or two. Its hard to take a break but you will have to if you are doing it right. I agree with the people in here about pretty much having a Don't talk to me sign on your forehead.

Today I was doing Hammer Strength chest press. After warming up, I banged out my first until failure and I was taking my 15 breathes and a guy walks up and asks if he can work in. I said yeah and then started my second RP set. I stood up and he tried to get in and I said hey wait Im not done. sat right back down and did my 3rd RP set and said alright man its all yours. He was like you done already? I just said Yep and walked off. I didn't want to explain it haha.

Another thing is like some others have said, don't be afraid of the machines and the smith, esp if you train alone. Dumbells are good too, but once you get up to 100+ on incline press and shoulder press it is hard to throw them things up on your 2nd and 3rd rp set without having someone help you. At least for me it is.

So what is everyones opinion of DC training while on cycle. Im kinda drifting away from it on cycle only because most of the workouts are all compound exercises, it really doesnt allow for any isolation exercises. Dont get me wrong it would be great for a mass building cycle but im looking for more lean muscle gains.
