Can anybody please tell me what are the main muscles exercised in:

1) Regular Deadlifts
2) Stiff Legged Deadlifts

and

Which are the best type of deadlifts for hamstrings?

1) Hamstrings, Glutes, Quads, Lower Back, Back Thickness, Traps, Forearms. Those are the main stuff, Deadlifts pretty much hit everywhere.

2) Hamstrings, Glutes and Lowerback. Traps and forearms.

SLDL are best for hitting Hamstrings, IMO.

In stiff legged deadlifts, are you supposed to keep your back straight and knees locked?

For stiff legged deadlifts, you should keep your back straight or slightly arched. The knees should not be locked. They should be slightly bent. Also, the bar should be kept very close to your body throughout the entire movement.

skyliner, what is the back thickness muscle lol.

stiffs and conventional deads are essentially the same movement, only with stiffs you bend your knees slightly and then keep your legs static. With conventional you lift with quads also.

CD, ain't back thickness rhomboids? Not sure, sorta like a figure of speech, but I think it's quite understandable :D
