I posted this on another site, and in a short time a friend of mine did this with it. His respsonses are in bold.
A quick ripping apart:
"
There are millions of immigrants that want to be US citizens, just on their own terms because they believe that the current methods of immigration reform have done nothing to advance the process of becoming a US citizen."
Because they, as foreigners, have the right to determine our immigration laws.
"The key to understanding all this is to seperate those with good intentions from those with ill intentions."
This is what the immigration laws are for.
"Yes these are all jobs that have some americans working, but the majority is handled by immigrants."
Because they will take a much lower wage than legal citizens. If they weren't here to screw with the wages those jobs would pay more. It's called the Invisible Hand.
"Desperation is the motivation for the hopeless until they find hope again. "
It's good to know that desperation is a valid excuse to violate the laws (of another country at that!). Perhaps they should stay in their country and build it up rather than going to another country and bringing it down?
"Actually, they are essential to the profit margins of Wal-Mart"
Who's getting that profit margin by breaking the law!
"If that all went away tommorow, we'd have to scramble to fill the void & maintain our comfortable way of life."
And the natural order of our capitalistic system will adjust.
"
Dude, we stole this country from the Navajo, Mohican, Seminole..."
Welcome to how the world used to work. They lost, we won. Suck it.
"but I'd like to thank the Right for getting them to stand up and be more political by making statements like "the so-called Hispanic vote is a myth"
Yeah, treating them like Americans rather than a political resource is so demeaning. You need to tell your friend he being racist.
"Anyone who was involved with spy activities during WWII are now dead."
Yeah, and all the people that "stole" American from the Native Americans is dead, so what his problem? Tell your friend his a hypocrite.
"I do agree that the US lifeboat is full, but I don't think red-blooded americans are ready to make the sacrifice to their way of life that I would. If I had to."
Gee, thanks for deciding how all Americans feel about this. Tell your friend he's not really a dictator.
If I am more empowered to pursue my dream while someone else is "content with working a normal job, then I can live with that."
He's telling us to accept and treat illegal immigrants fairly, yet here he's using them as low wage tools for his own advancement. We've already covered his hypocrisy.
"A huge debt to American society has resulted."
Contrary to what he's been trying to say, here he points out some of the damage the illegals do to this country.
