Definition of Volume & Intensity

Volume is the amount of reps, sets, and exercises - I'd also consider it how frequently you workout (how many days a week).

Intensity has several meanings. Consult others for a diversity of explanation for this definition. To me intensity is performing with maximal effort on ever set performed (muscle failure).

Intensity- the amount of weight lifted in relation to your 1 rep maximum. For example......a weight that you can do 10 reps of is an intensity level of 75% of your 1RM. A weight that you can lift 2 times is an a higher intensity, 95% of your 1RM.

This is one of the widely used definitions, but not the way I use it, obviously.

yeah, the term intensity wears many hats. I look at it as I decribed. Some would say it is the pace of the workout (ie....20sec rest.....30sec rest....ect...). How do you interpert it TP?
