It's not that I'm dumb either incase you were thinking that. high 1200's on PSAT's and originally in all GT, AP classes. It's just that I've made a few bad decisions in my time. Alot of my friends skip, as do I. I even go to the gym sometimes instead of school lol. Probation >< finishes up in a month. I stay away from drugs since most of my family has been through rehab. Overall i'm just worried about not making it into college with my grades. :dwnthumb:

you shouldn't have a problem at all getting in, it's just a matter of where you are going to apply to. do you want to stay in state, out of state, etc. many other factors besides grades & SAT scores.

I joined the navy after finishing college, I was almost 22 . I couldn't imagine being in the miitary and not being able to legally go to bars, etc. that would totally suck ass, especially if you get stuck in some shit hole.

I dunno, VA, VA TECH, JAMES MADISON UNIV are all too hard to get into atm.

I don't know if you're familiar with George Mason Univ or Christopher Newport or Radford. Not very high quality, but could possibly get in, and all in state. I would leave state if I got accepted to a college though. I've always been a huge michigan wolverines fan, doubt I can get in there even though half my fam went there. Maybe somewhere near either ocean, nice weather. Other then that i dunno, i jsut hope to get my grades up. I have 2 weeks left in my sophomore year, and junior year you send in college applications.

How did you like the Navy, and where did you get "stuck"? And since when could you not legally go into bars at 22? Also, what are some of the other factors? Maybe I could improve on those. I'm feeling the college pressure/ :sob:

Go out and get a skilled construction job...

Carpentry, eletrical, plumbing...

Work till experienced, then start your own company doing the same thing...

By then, you will have more money than fresh college grads,
and you can snag a cute young girl with a degree...

Marry her, and let her run the books in your company till it grows large enough.

Then hire an accountant, knock up your girl, send her home to watch the kid...

Work and be the boss for a few years

Sell the company, collect the $, and retire to a villa in Puerto Rico

The End

I had a blast in the Navy but of course there were plenty of times when it sucked. Like once we didn't get a day off for about 14 months. I spent 2 years in San Diego/Coronado, 2 years in Little Creek, VA and 10 months in Newport, RI.

I guess I didn't state that properly about the age thing. I couldn't imagine being in the military and not be of the legal drinking age. depending on what branch of the service you are in you can get stationed in some real shit holes with nothing to do. staying on base gets old and the quality of women in the miltary, well is nothing to write home about.

Nice story, but incomplete. You did good by taking the $$$ and moving to Puerto Rico, but you forgot to mention that first you dump your wife and take your gorgeous YOUNG mistress. :thumb:
