been in cut mode eating 2200-2400 cals for a long time 6months. just decided to change things up went on bulk 3450 cals per day 20/45/35 f/c/p. strange part is i've been stronger than normal ever since i started eating more. i was keeping carbs under 200g now im running 375carbs 280protien 74 fat. is there a direct link here between the carbs and strength. ive set pr's all week .:shooter:

That's pretty normal. It takes your body X amount of fuel to perform and when you cut it below normal, strength usually will dip some, excluding any other factors like gear and supplements. When you up the carbs and cals in general, you stay in an anabolic state and not a catabolic state like you would in a cut phase. In simple terms, your muscle gets to fully repair quicker after a workout instead of only a little and the carbs keep them more full. The fuller they stay and recover the better the growth and strength will be. Think of it like driving a car. If you only put a half tank of gas in it, you aren't going to be able to run it as hard and as long as if you had filled it up. Same concept.

Yes that is definitely something normal, especially when keeping your carbs under 200 for that amount of time. Carbs are like fuel for your workouts so i bet they are experiencing something they haven't had for a long time and absorbing most of what your bringing in. I remember when I was on my precontest diet and then came off I started to slowly feel the way your feeling now...Take advantage of it brothA!!!
