Diet Confusion

I just was looking at BFFM and the food ratios there are like 50/30/20 for baseline and reduced carb is like 40/40/20.
I havent tried it yet cos i dont know where to start.

Im looking to erase some pounds, is there another way than what I mentioned?
 
just eat 500 calries under your maintanance ,all your choices should be clean (check jodi's shopping list),then get your enough protien (approximatly 1 gram per lb),eat the rest of your calories from carbs and efa's and keep your fat % around 20-25 ,make sure you get enough vegetables and fruits and vitamins and minerals..do cardio and increase it gradually and vary your intensity , duration keep lifting as heavy as possible (wich means low to moderate reps)to keep the most of your lean body mass ...that's a better baseline in my opinion..
