My body fat is about 16-17% and i weigh about 150 pounds.

I work out on mondays, wensdays, and fridays, and i run for about 30 minutes on tuesdays, thrusdays, and sundays...

My diet is not amazing, but i dont think its too bad at all.

Usually some eggs in the morning... a nutrigrain for or 2 through out the day (just for a snack) maybe some low fat yogurt. one or two necturines a day along with some grapes. and then i usually have either some roast beef, or turkey, or sometimes steak as another meal...

My goals are to get down around 10% body fat or just looked "ripped"

How low would i be able to get my body fat if i stick with to these diets and exercises in about a month?

Does my goal seem feasible?

Thanks!

Getting down to 10% or lower bf is going to take a well-balanced diet (some may call it strict) and doing all you can to make your body burn fat

You may want to consider HIIT rather than 20-30 minutes of "jogging"

Look into HIIT in the form of running (you sprint, jog, sprint, job, etc. -- it's interval training) or even Clean Cardio

This will pump up your metabolism and keep it going even after your workout

If you were to do 20-30 minutes of jogging..chances are the boost in metabolism will start to taper once you stop exercising

hey man! thats great advice. And to think I was just gettin my running shoes on... I just did a little search on yahoo for "HIIT cardio" and says thats a really good thing for fat loss! yay! thanks you again!

But what would be the best time to do this HIIT? Should I eat a meal before or after? If so, what kind of meal? What is this "Clean Cardio" you mentioned?

Thanks again man!

Well, if you're going to do HIIT style training of any type, why don't you use the crosstrainer @ your gym? I think it's an excellent piece of equipment to do HIIT.
From personal experience, you don't want to hurt your knees running (HIIT style).

HIIT does not need to be done on an empty stomach first thing in the morning either. a good meal consisiting of complex carbs and lean protein prior is good.

as for getting to 10% bf... your diet sucks to get there. sorry but Im honest.
nutri grain bars are full of sugar and overly processed.
that yogurt is quite high in sugars as well (no nos for dieting).
a 'maybe just a meal' of meat???? :finger: you need lean protein in EVERY meal. eating every 2.5-3 hrs.
Please Please go read the sticky at the top of this forum 'Guide to cutting, bulking and maintenance".
Then when you think you have it together we can critic a more stable diet.
:)

Yeah....if you only weigh 150 and have 17% bf....its gonna be harder for you to look ripped...because you dont have alot of muscle. You should concentrate on cleaning up your diet and lifting heavy. I think cardio is over rated. Diet is where its at.
