Should I cut or bulk or neither. I am trying to gain strengh, but still do 3-4 days a week of cardio and 3 days a week full body lifts. I want to get as strong as possible, but I need to stay with 3 running days and 3 days of boxing(six days of cardio work)days a week. I know that cardio is not good in excess when bulking. But I also now that cutting makes you lose strenght. what should I do. i am 15 6 ft and 153 pds.

At 15 and 6 ft and 153 lbs cutting wouldn't be a priority of mine.

How about you just working on a healthy lifestyle, and slowly up the cals.

if thats a typical day for you, i wouldnt jump up to 3000 then...thats way too large of an increase right away.

like Iain, just start eating healthier...i.e. whole foods, many small meals, and slowly up the calories.

read the stickies.

I dont. but I cant gain significant amount of weight because I box and I dont want to go out of my weight class to quickly. obviously being 6 ft when I am older I will be a heavyweight, but right now I like chilling at my weight class. I still want to get strong so can i get strong without gaining alot of weight? anyway no matter what I do should I do th 40/40/20 or something else?

I say stay around maintenance levels (caloric intake) for your dimensions and activity level and incorporate a nice training schedule. That way you can lean out without gaining weight and possible even up your strength a bit. Just keep that diet in check.

I think your putting alittle too much stress on that. Everyone responds differently to different macros. Try one option, see how it pans out with YOUR body, then make tweaks as needed. Right now just get some type of plan in order.

Yeah sounds good man. Give it a shot and see how it goes then post back and tweak from there.

You might want to bulk until you get close to the upper limits of your weight class and then cut to get rid of extra fat... then repeat the cycle.

good idea. right now im trying to eat around 2000 cals a day. 40 40 20. 2 protein/meal replacement shakes(myoplex) 1 before I go to bed and Ill figure out when to squeeze in another one no clue when. i also have 1 scoop of whey before workout and 1 scoop L glutamine after workout. For vitamins and supps I take fish oil caps, multi mins, multi vits, everyman whole food vitamin, vitamin C. And I take a 3,6,9 oil. any ideas on more supps and am I taking the shakes, whey, L glutamine at the right time and enuff?

Drink the first shake right after you work out then the second whenever (you said at night and that should be fine.)

Yeah sounds about right man. I take my vitamins in the afternoon.

oo. i take mine in the morning. so its ok to take a proten shake and some whey within a few minutes of eachother?

Wait, what? Isn't your protien shake consisting of whey based protien or am I missing something here?

yah. my apolgoies. I baught this stuff Myoplex. it is more of a meal replacement shake with alot of protein then a protein shake. I also have a big can of way. and a big thing of L glutamine. I was wondering how I should portion it out. thanks.

Both the whey and L glutamine I throw in some milk and drink it.
Edit: i cant drink the shake right before bed according to this.

Myoplex is not the best choice prior to going to going to bed. As it has a mid-range Glycemic index rating, it will provoke more of an insulin response than you are looking for right before going to sleep. One of the best meals you can consume just prior to going to sleep is cottage cheese and an apple.

I guess I coulld buy a new shake.
