Diet Pop

Hi everyone-

Do you think too much Diet Pop leads to water retention and weight gain? I really love Diet Pepsi but I think it is could be reeking havoc on my overall physique. I am thin (5'8 and 106 lbs) but I can't stand to look down at my stomach because it always looks like I'm about 9 months pregnant.

Other than the pop I follow a pretty healthy meal plan, 6 small meals a day that includes lean protiens, good carbs, and efas. Do you think it's the pop or could it be something else that I'm doing wrong. I would hate to give it up (major caffine withdrawl) but I will if I have to!

Try to go with just water for a week or two and see if you have any results that way . Caffine withdrawl is not that bad :shake: :spaz: :shake: :yawn: You'll live

i go with out my diet dew for weeks at a time when dieting for a show........thats why i get crabbie, not because of pizza withdrawls,but caffine withdrawls:D

Caffine RULES for sure . I've been taking xenadrine . If mixed wuth caffine i get all jittery and that sucks . Try those fat burners with no caffine that should cure the withdrawls . Not really cure but suppliment w/o the extra sugar . BTW I love the MT.DEW . How is the diet DEW ? never had it
 
I don't think any of the boys caught your stats. There is no way that you look 9 months pregnant at 5"8 and 106lbs. I don't care what time of day it is!! Was this a mispell and you are a guy who is 160??
Either way, I believe that anything in moderation is fine. And caffeine as far as I know has not been linked to any long-term detrimental diseases CONCLUSIVELY. So until the FDA says otherwise, I'll continue to ingest my 200 mg/ day.

Personally, I think you should NOT trust the FDA to be after your better interest. Some of the output just doesn't make sense, if you really want to be healthy.

(Example: The FDA's allowance for mercury in fish is 75% higher than the EPA's. Go figure).

Im a Mt dew freak too, and I switched to diet a while back..it takes some getting used to, but its pretty good. Every once in a while on my cheat day Ill buy a 20 oz bottle of reg. mt dew, but I can never finish it cuz its just too sweet!
 
DIet coke junkie here, no water retention after several years of experimenting.
 
It's carbonation that makes you feel bloated.
 
same here as a diet mt. dew addict. tried the regular mt. dew and found it too sweet.
