WHat is the low down on diet soda. Is it an acceptable substitute or should it be avoided all together? I drink about one every day.

Calorie wise, juice is no better than regular soda... it's crap.
It's safer to just stick to water.

Is it an acceptable substitute for what? Having one every day won't kill you or ruin your physique as long as it isn't one 2 liter or one case.devildog88 said:WHat is the low down on diet soda. Is it an acceptable substitute or should it be avoided all together? I drink about one every day.

Actually Coke and Pepsi both use Sucralose as an artificial sweetner in some products. Cadbury/Schwepps (7-UP, Dr. Pepper) and Shasta also use it. In fact, Sucralose is used in over 3500 branded products alone. So, if you want to avoid artificial sweetenrs, you need to either read a lot of labels or eat whole foods.Diakonos said:Most Diet Sodas contains aspartame. The only diet soda that I know of that doesn't contain aspartame is Diet Rite. And even the sweetner in that (Splenda) is suspect. I just stick to water and juice.![]()
