i apologize if these are dumb questions, i'm a newb to pretty much everything...

1) is it true for all people that the protein/carbs you eat take 30 min to 1 hour to get into your system? and is that the best time to wait before working out?

2) does creatine take about 30 min. to 1 hour to get into your system also?

3) are there any cases of people who take longer than normal to get things into their system?

4) i read somewhere (a article talking about how eating late night carbs gain fat easily) that said the carbs you eat at 8 pm at night are ready to be used by your body when your sleeping about 6 hours later which cannot be used since your sleeping...if this is true how do the carbs/protein you take before a workout get into your system so much quicker? is the article way off?

1) No, you want to eat right after you work out.
4) Bad artical.

1. Digestion time depends on what you are eating. Higher fat and fiber content will slow digestion. I take my pre-lifting shakes 30min before lifting, but I would suggest 45min for most. And yes, you want the shake as soon as you are done working out, as well, but there should be no fat or fiber in your post-lifting shake.

2. Suppliment timing is about 45min before your workout...so yes, take your creatine 45min before your workout.

It all depends on your small intestine condition, for the AVG person it takes 30 minutes but the process can take longer or less... The key here is to drink 12-16oz of water with the creatine so that when it passes the stomach to the intestines it will use that extra water to pass the creatine particles to your bloodstream, without requiring to get it from other sources, the first one is the larger intestine (where you can get bad bacteria in to your bloodstream and get sick). Warm water works better.
