Do you think fingernail biting is gross?

My friend and I were arguing over whether or not it is gross for someone to bite their fingernails. I honestly don't give a shit, and wouldn't think twice about asking a girl out if she had her finger in her mouth. But my friend says that most people think it is disgusting. Well help me out on this one guys, and lets let the numbers be the deciding factor.

This guy I work with told me that he never gets sick because he eats his finger nails. He said that because he is constantly eating his nails he is ingesting those germs and his body has become immune to sickness.

I bite my nails, I have since I was young. They take a real pounding come Exam time.

I've seen people who bite their nails right down near to the cuticle. Their fingers are bleeding and red but they keep going. I'm no where near that bad.
