Does it matter how you sit/lay when you are eating?I promise this is my last question

Like laying on your stomach while eating dinner, does that slow down digestion and hence increase food retention? or is that a myth mums used to make children sit upright so they dont choke?

I wont be asking or starting any more threads, just really curious about this
 
Sitting upright/standing does help with digestion (takes the 'kinks' out of your digestive tract)... And lying down is a problem if you have issues with re-flux....

and I wouldn't recommend hanging upsidedown on the monkey bars after a big meal either or lying on your stomach after christmas lunch (yay for :barf: )...

but in most healthy individuals you shouldn't have to worry about it.

ok thanks for the response.. cuz I really enjoy laying on my belly and eating my meals while watching the Jerry Springer uncensored episodes on PPV :)
