Hi everyone,

I've started working out a while ago and now just resuming again, I've always have a weird prob. When I work out, I get dizzy when I drink water. So if I don't drink water during my workout, I'll last longer. The moment I drink, I begin to feel dizzy and a bit shaking and I can't work out anymore, cuz my hands will feel shaky too. Anybody know why?

Is someone putting vodka in your water?

that's a new one for me...never heard of that before.

does the same thing happend when you play sports, etc. ?

when I play tennis and such, and I stop in the middle to drink water, I feel weaker but since tennis is not as intense as weight lifting, it doesn't affect me that much afterwards

Don't put ice in your water! I drink mine at room temperature(which is warm). Remember your body heats up with the training , shoving a lot of ice cold water into it isn't going to help things along. :shake:

even when it's just plain room temperature water, still

Save the ice for the vodka or gin and tonic.............

Have you considered a water filtration system? I hear Britta is pretty cheap. :-P

I drink bottled water, you think something's in the water that I'm alergic to?

Actually I was just kidding, but that's not impossible. Have you tried different water brands and just bringing a water bottle with water from home?

Yeah, that's true... I remember when I used to play tennis in the hot sun I'd always have ice in my water so it was really cold. After I drank some I would get chills, so I'd say make sure your water isn't TOO cold.

maybe u get dizzi because ur not breathing, before u drink water make sure u catch your breath first. and drink slowly

The dizziness could be caused by lack of energy, and somehow triggered by water. Make sure you've eaten plenty before your workout.

Do you drink 16+oz of water 15-30 min or so before your workout? Also when you drink water during your workout, how mush are you drinking?

nicotine increases the oxygen requirements of the heart and lowers the oxygen
supply. kind of hard for your muscle to work at optimum levels with a oxygen defeciency. why would you start such a bad habbit...:finger:
