An incredible view. I recommend going to YouTube and watching it in 1080p.

YouTube Video

:pissed:idk its stupid as fuck they have facebook and everything else blocked and i have no problem with that but why youtube? i used it to listewn to music and pass time during the slow hours. would they rasther me talk on the phone? i dont get it but im pissed about it!

This is truly amazing. It's insane to think that this exists somewhere, and how small everything truly is. Jupiter exists. Saturn exists. It is not fantasy, that is actually somewhere, touchable, observable.

If you think that's amazing try to get your head around this concept. I spent weeks thinking about this after I watched "Cosmos". It drove me crazy trying to get my head around the concept of infinity and whether this theory in particular was likely to be a reality.

Assuming your company's router doesn't block proxy sites: proxify.com

I ran these sites by my brother, who is a Sr Systems Admin, and he said while he already has these sites blocked, if you use such a site to hit a blocked site such as youtube or facebook those keywords trigger a block as well.

IT fukkers ruin all the fun right? :)

Bad ass video BTW. :winkfinger:

That sucks. I mean, I can understand that they want to block me from porn sites at work, but who blocks YouTube?

I block youtube...except for me. I don't want workers slowing down my video loading time. They should be working instead of watching youtube.

yep...I ran into that a lot when I worked in the private sector. then I used to get bored and start snooping around the network which just got me into trouble.

I know your joking, but a serious reply is this: I believe that there are proper ways to manage company resources. T1 lines are expensive, and resources are limited. If I allowed youtube, facebook, or myspace on my network, worker productivity would fall, and load on the network would jump dramatically. The hospital internet access would be almost unusable.

I treat my users with courtesy and respect, but I look on them like the scum of the earth. "You whiny worthless fucking maggots! I wouldn't have to be the internet Nazi if you ignorant fucks would stop pegging out the t1 doing stupid like 5 people in the business office all listening to a different internet radio feed."

Network and system Admins grow a thick skin pretty quick. We get use to telling people "no", and the people we say no to all think we are just being dicks when we are just doing what has to be done to keep the system running.

Director of IT, but for a hospital of this size, it is the same thing really.

how goes the security with all the smartphones that are out these days? that's got to be a freaking nightmare...
