I eat to stay as lean as possible. I recently joined a cycling club and the beginner ride is 30 miles on Saturday mornings. Judging by looks alone I was by far the "fittest" person there, yet all these overweight out of shape looking people were leaving me in the dust. Do you think you have to gear your diet for one lifestyle of activity or another? :lick:

extra carbs will defenitly help.

People can be overweright and still be great cyclists just like lean people can look to be in shape and still be in horrible shape and lack overal strength.

The thing you are looking at is probably not diet related at all though. It is probably just speceficity. You don't ride that distance and aren't used to it but they are. If you are a good runner that doesn't mean that you will be a good cyclist or swimmer for that matter. Your VO2Max and endurance is specific to the events that you train. The more you bike the better you will get. Keep it up.

They change. But it is that layer, that coat, that viscous inch of fat fur that hides it all.
