Ignorance, unfortunately, has no bounds. These people are the same bleeding hearts that believe saying "okay, its over," is going to stop thousands of years worth of hatred and violence (this conflict starts from way before 1948 and goes way beyond Jews and Muslims...Please look at the links i've provided mainly the Obsession Documentary and just browse through JihadWatch to get an idea). What most people don't understand is that there is no middle ground with these fucks. They don't want a little bit of land for their own, they call for the annihilation of all western ideologies. Thats right, they want you and your daughter to walk around with a towel on your heads and be stoned in the village square at will.

Are you seriously comparing what the Arabs/Pali's etc are doing to the Israeli's to a neighbor being an asshole? Do you really know the facts? What war crimes? Israel provides aid to the very same country that is trying to kill it...thats right, the same people who are screaming to destroy Jews are being fed by the Jews...When the fuck, in the history of the world, has that ever happened? When castles were sieged, they were surrounded and the people inside were forced to surrender or starve from lack of supplies, this has been a war strategy since day 1, but now that we have little bitch bleeding heart liberals wanting to make everyone happy and be everyone's friend we have Israel not only opening its borders but actually donating food and such to their own enemies! That is unheard of.

if any 2 peoples are at war i believe there will be some on each side that will believe in and strive for peace. maybe it's impossible but the only way to know for sure is to have the balls to stand up for what you believe in.

Like Kennedy said until the day comes that the Conscientious Objector receives as much glory as the war hero we will always have war. But we tried that with Vietnam and it started a war at home between the Pacifists and the War Mongers.....

The Israeli-Palestinian conflict in Gaza has been dominating world news as of late, and the tension has now found its way to the basketball court.

A EuroCup game between Israel???s Bnei Hasharon club and Turk Telekom of Turkey was disrupted yesterday in Ankara when protesters began shouting death threats at the Israeli players. However, only a handful of the team???s players are from Israel. The team has five players from the United States, including former University of Colorado star Richard Roby.
The game never made it to tip-off, and the details of the scene are frightening.
HAARETZ reports that preparations by the Turkish police were the only thing preventing the Bnei HaSharon???s players from being physically attacked, and perhaps even killed:
It would seem that watching a EuroCup game was the last thing spectators who came to the stadium had on their minds. They were more focused on shouting ???death to the Jews??? and waving Palestinian flags.
If it weren???t for the advanced preparations by the Turkish police, which prevented the masses from attacking the Israeli players a few seconds before the opening whistle, a serious disaster might have transpired.

I'd love to know what jewish kids your freakin talkin to...the problem with most of the posts on this thread is that they're coming from liberal and/or stupid nutheads who have all these conspiracy theories about the jews culture and history and current state. I seriously won't waster another breath on this topic because it's way too frustrating reading this crap...but its people like you who can't tell who your real friends are until its too late! And keep the betty crocker children bullshit out of it. There's no sugar coating the fact that a cease fire will only put us 20 steps back. On numerous occasions, Israel has agreed to a cease fire with the Palestinians. Every single time the Palestinians break the cease fire, killing Israeli civilians.

In your analogy, that's like having your neighbor come over and start fighting you and your children. You start beating the shit out of him and he asks for an end to the hostilities; to which you agree. Then he comes back and starts to fight again. Lather, rinse, repeat. Oh, and let's us not forget that your neighbors ultimate purpose is to kill you all and won't consider the job done until you are.

As for blocking aid: ... duh. That aid is also undoubtedly being used the very Palestinians that are doing the attacks. Hey, let's not only let the enemy have aid so that they can kill us some more, but let's give them puppies, too. :bulb:
 
How are people supposed to fight for their right to make their voice heard? If people fight for their right through nonviolence, nobody seems to care. If they fight through violence, everybody seems to condemn them. If world community doesn't accept violence, then they have to show their support to people who follow nonviolence. If world doesn't accept nonviolence, they have to support violence. you have to choose one.

So, let me get this straight.

A Palestinians said that they didn't break the cease fire, so we should believe them. The Israelis said that they didn't break the cease fire, so we shouldn't believe them.

And a handful of news services, who's source(s) were never identified, chose to believe the Palestinians...so we should believe them.

What I do believe is seeing an Israeli official show regret for civilians killed, but point out that Hamas like to attack from locations containing civilians, and I also believe that Hamas has taken gleeful credit for killing three toddlers and an old women at a preschool with a rocket.

And, as busyLivin alluded to, Israel wants to be left alone and Hamas' stated goal is to kill all the Isrealies. Not to get back any land, not to have eqaul footing, but to end all of the lives down to the last person. It's in their charter:

Article 7 of the Hamas Covenant states the following: "The Day of Judgement will not come about until Muslems fight the Jews (killing the Jews), when the Jew will hide behind stones and trees. The stones and trees will say O Muslems, O Abdulla, there is a Jew behind me, come and kill him. Only the Gharqad tree would not do that because it is one of the trees of the Jews." (related by al-Bukhari and Muslem).

Many of you are confusing Hamas with Palestinians.... There are many Palestinians who would be happy to just live their lives in peace, if they say or do anything though they then have to deal with not only Israel tormenting them but Hamas too. They get shoved between a rock and a hard place, imagine yourselves there in a several wars ravaged area tring to just get through life w/o dying and without your children getting slaughtered or worse joining up with the militant radicals.....
