I'll probably get bashed for this, But whenever I eliminate protein shakes out of my training regiment, I lean down and still keep newly formed muscle. My only protein source comes from food. I used to drink 1 maybe 2 shakes a day consisting of two sccops whey powder, 2 oz skim milk, water, and ice blended up. This was fine for my taste, but I feel it was adding unnecesarry weight gain in the abdomen. Can anyone else relate to this????
