For about two years now, my face has been kinda bloated, mainly my cheeks.
I run 5 times a week, and i am in decent shape. I run a mile and a half in just under 9 mins.

My face never seems to lose its bloated appearence. Im 5'6" and 145 lbs. Before i started working out seriously about a year ago, i weighed about 110 lbs. I am very skinny with a 28" waist.

The fatness of my cheeks doesnt make any sence. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas?

Ive tried sleeping 8 hours a night and drinking 8 cups of water a day along with the running 5 days a week.

Else wise i havent been able to find out anything online.

any help would be appreciated.

i dunno...i know my face(cheeks) got a lil bloated when i clean bulked.

Mine have been bloated since before i started working anything besides my biceps, which during that year before i got serious, was very little.

The problem that most readily comes to mind is Cushings Disease - a problem with the body making and releasing to much cortisol, also known as hyercortisolism.

If you feel that its unusual and are concerned about it, I encourage you to see your doctor for referral to an endocrinologist for diagnostic blood work to identify whether or not you have excessive adrenal activity.

maybe

I could check that out. i found out yesterday though, that ive had tonsilites for about 2 years. i know that doesnt make sence since its supposed to be really painful, but ive been clogged, lightly sore throated, and had trouble swallowing and such all that time. My doctor thought it was allergys. Since two steriods and 4 different kinds of pills and sprays didnt help my "allergys" i decided id finally go to my grandfather. Hes an anesetheologist. He looked in my throat and guess what, white spots all over my tonsels which means a bacterial tonsilites. I just started antibiotics, and since most people don't have tonsilities for that long, and when i got this is when i started bloating up, im gonna hope the two are connected.

I like your grandads explanation a LOT more than adrenal hyperplasia!

A chronic throat infection from infected tonsils makes sense! I wonder how you could have it for so long - its usually a short-term, acute infection (couple days). Ask your grandad if he could check you for chronic sinus infection as well. One (sinus) could be reinfecting the other (tonsils). That would give you a puffy face.

I have a friend whom I talked to yesterday. Shes had sinus infections for years, and her face is now chronically puffy, just as you describe. She also gets sore throats frequently, and has allergies that set off the sinus infection and sore throat.

i wouldn't rule allergies out, but the problem has to be attacked from several angles.

Thanks for posting the update, Keepon!

Antibiotics first

yes, he did think it may be chronic tonsilites. although, i did read that if u dont throw your toothbrush away after you get rid of tonsilites you are bound to get it agian. i also have a retainer which i wear every night that i clean with that tooth brush for a month then soak it in a cleaner([effident, efferdent], i think is what its called).

So we are going with the antibiotics then throwing away the toothbrush and cleaning very throughly everything that has contact with my mouth like that.

If it comes back agian after i get rid of it, i probably will have my tonsels removed.

Repost in a week on progress, incase anyone else has similar problems to help them out.
