I have been a fitday user in the past but I just switched over to FatSecret.com

It is a pretty standard calorie counting site... set goals, enter foods, enter your weight and exercise, etc.

It has a pretty decent food database too.

The thing that really made me switch was the phone application that you can use. They have an app for iPhones, Blackberries and the Android that allows you to enter on your phone instead of running to a computer. And the coolest thing... the app has a barcode scanner so you can just scan the barcode and it will load the nutritional data so you don't have to search for it or enter it if it happens to not be in the database.

I just thought it was convenient. There are a ton of applications that track calories. Most have crappy databases or something I didn't like about them. This one is worth looking at if you are looking for a new calories counter.

I'm not affiliated with them in any way, just letting people know that this option exists.

Just downloaded the iPhone app too. The scanner works really well, I'm going to give this one a try for a bit before leaving fitday

good find, Neil
