My favorite vacation was Vegas. We had such a great time, no drinking, and I'm ready to go back!

What's been your best vacation?

What's been your best vacation?

Years ago, Grand Cayman scuba diving and fishing. It was awesome! One night the hotel threw a BBQ and their chef was grilling fresh caught Marlin OMG!!! That was the best meal I've ever had in my life. We went diving from shore and from a dive boat several times, once over the 18,000' deep Cayman trench... we were 120' deep just suspended over the trench, you could see sea turtles cruising by way way below.. it was a spectacular trip. If you dive, it wouldn't be so fantastic, it's nice, beautiful etc. but the diving was just out of this world. Much better than Hawaii or anywhere else I've ever been.

Another great vacation is House boating, water skiing etc. on Lake Powell in late September early October. Spectacular perfect water, not too hot and by then not too many people.

Some of my best vacations ever? Hmm..2 week surf trips to Costa Rica were up there.

I would say the grand canyon. Was a great time, so many things to see that I will never forget.

Another favorite of mine is the oregon sand dunes. Put the paddle tires on the quads, load them in the toyhauler and head out in the sand. So many memories doing this over the years. Its been a while, I need to get back there again.

Grand Canyon is great, been there many times. My fav part is the North Rim, it's a completely different world than the South Rim. Few people there, it's very high close to 10,000' it's more like an Alpine area, huge ponderosa pines, vast meadows even a Bison heard. If you haven't been to the North Rim you need to check it out.

Alaskan fishing trip for 10 days in last week of July. The red/king salmon are running high and Homer for Halibut and Lingcod! Everywhere you drive looks like a postcard.

I just got back from a family vacation. Took my wife and two youngest out into the mountains camping in our pop up camper. Fires, fly fishing, hot spring, and beer. Couldn't ask for more!

Only thing I regret about our Vegas trip was we did not see the grand canyon.

We plan to go back and see it but, kinda wish we had then.

Two week Alaskan cruise! One of those things you have to experience, because words won't do it justice.
I've tried to get my wife to do the cruise thing but she won't go for it.

We don't drink so I dunno how much there really is to do on a cruise besides that lol.

Lol...yeah, I'm sure the entertainment is a little lacking if you don't drink. J/k. They had tons of stuff going on ALL the time. Live music, shows, etc. Generally, there were at least a couple of live music choices at any given time. They also had a BIG evening show every night. We were a little "meh" when looking at their daily activity sheet, but luckily we figured out pretty quick that the stuff was really good. There's a casino if you want to kill a little time. There's games, shopping, etc too. Plus, we made port every day except for two. So you get to go in town, do some shopping/site seeing. Or try some of the excursions. As long as we booked an excursion on board via the cruise line, the ship would wait on us if anything happened and we weren't back on time. Never happened though. Plus, the scenery was freaking unbelievable. Nothing like watching melting ice caps cascading waterfalls down thousands of feet while being balls deep on your own private balcony. Just make sure there's no other cruise ships going up the same fjord that might pass on your side at that particular moment. Unless you like showing off...whatever floats your boat. :eyebrow:

Last summer I brought my girls To Jax Beach Florida which is where I grew up.

Nothing on Earth I have been to compares. Surfing, Bodyboarding, tannning, seafood and all my friends still live there.

We went to Disney for a week after that and I would have rather stayed on Jax Beach. Best kept secret. Love it and miss it there. Of any vacation I have ever been, going back to my hometown was the best.

One of the requirements to cruise to Alaska is that you have to be over 75 years old cause that's all there is on that cruise, did it last month for my parents 50th wedding anniversary. the glaciers are small and melting away the towns you stop in are so small you can walk through them in 2 minutes. crazy thing is all the towns are littered with jewellery shops, go figure. the food was alright, the entertainment is weak, you might see some whales, other than that just water. don't waste your time on this cruise, if you are going to do a cruise do a Carribean one at least. My two cents anyway.
