I've been on an anavar only cycle for about 14 weeks now. I am currently taking 40mg/ED and have been taking this for about 2-3 weeks now. The past 6 weeks or so I noticed that my libido has significantly decreased. I went from wanting sex every minute of everyday before starting the var and now I don't think about sex at all. I am also lethargic.

Should I be concerned or is this something that comes back once I come off ? I want my sex drive to come back to normal. I have about 6 weeks left in the cycle.

Can't speak for females, but it does it to me. I combat it with test. Not really an option for you though. You may want to lower your dose a bit. Not sure what your goals or cycle experience is.

What made you decide to use such a high dose?

Was told by quite a few females on the forums that a dosage like this is okay for woman if you are looking to gain size. I have read that most men run test with it to stop the shut down of the natural test. But ur right, this is not an option for women. So I'm not exactly sure what to do. I have run var before but at a lower dose that didn't exceed 20mgs/ED and did not have the loss of libido. Only got VERY depressed when I came off.

I believe you solved your problem ma'am. Drop to 20, enjoy your gains and being on it twice as long. 40 mg seems like more than you need. I've run 40 with good results.

Legit anavar 50mg is max i would run.. i have run up to 100 and anything 80 and above i get calf and back pumps as well as face pumps..

the face jaw pumps are the worst so i wont run it above 50

Isn't the normal protocol for women on their first var cycle 20mg a day?

gear acts differently for each girl. I have two girls that one loves var and the other hates it and runs winny. If the one that runs winny takes var she gets no gains and no sex drive, where if shes on winny its the opposite and vice versa for the girl on var. It really comes with the territory sad but true with the sex drive thing. At times i lose mine for week at a time then it kicks back in and im horny all day and all i think about doing is looking for a girl. I ran my bloods and they were normal and nothing out of range. its sad but true. My wife is drop dead gorgeous and there are nights that there is nothing she can do to get it up.

What was your goal running at 40mg

No real reason to run it that high. It's hard to say why no sex drive, but then when you're fucking around w/ hormone levels, it is truly self-medicating and sort of a free for all - no guarantees anywhere. I would suggest always starting out conservatively so you can gauge your body's response. There are zero guarantees about anything when it comes to especially a woman's response.

A couple thoughts I had:

- Is this a brand you've used before? If not there's really no way to know if it is truly var, if it is dosed correctly, etc. Back to the crap shoot.
- Out of curiosity, are you experiencing any other typical sides or results that would indicate that this is "normal" var?
- Are you experiencing any menstrual cycle-related changes? More or less cramping or bloating? No difference at all?
- Where are you in "life" right now? Anything else going on that would drive a drop in sex drive? Are you sleeping well? Stress levels? Diet? Training quality?

I'd suggest dropping the dose down to 20mg/day at least to see if that much higher dose is the source of the issues. I would also suggest throwing in something like Evening primrose oil w/ your EFAs - it helps to even out estrogen responses if that might be contributing to the overall response. If you're really having concerns then I would get bloodwork.

And just in general, when you're coming off, we're sort of back to the discussion of whether or not women need PCT - Not really in as dramatic a way as guys need it, but obviously there is going to be some changes that were induced by the cycle, and we all know how dramatically hormone levels affect your mood. My personal observation is that the biggest mood swings come not in the middle of a cycle, or in the middle of your period for that matter - but rather when there's a hormone flux - at the beginning or the end. One thing you can do to help manage the depression is to use Inositol, particularly powder Inositol - it is just a B vitamin so nothing fancy, dramatic or expensive. If you load it at the levels recommended on the container, you should see the depression aspect reduced signfiicantly fairly quickly.

Some quick links, but you can google "depression inositol" as well.
Inositol - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
INOSITOL: Uses, Side Effects, Interactions and Warnings - WebMD

A cheap source:
Swanson Premium 100% Pure Inositol Powder 8 oz (227 grams) Pwdr - Swanson Health Products

Mostly be sure you're not getting a cap that has other stuff in it because the combined amounts of multiple things in pills frequently are the wrong ratio to make the pill useful for what you were trying to get it for.

Lastly, here's some info re: PCT - PCT For Women

imo your test levels are in the tank...you can either reduce the dose at least in half...stop taking it or use a short ester test like prop at 10mg e3d...to regain your sex drive...
