No real reason to run it that high. It's hard to say why no sex drive, but then when you're fucking around w/ hormone levels, it is truly self-medicating and sort of a free for all - no guarantees anywhere. I would suggest always starting out conservatively so you can gauge your body's response. There are zero guarantees about anything when it comes to especially a woman's response.
A couple thoughts I had:
- Is this a brand you've used before? If not there's really no way to know if it is truly var, if it is dosed correctly, etc. Back to the crap shoot.
- Out of curiosity, are you experiencing any other typical sides or results that would indicate that this is "normal" var?
- Are you experiencing any menstrual cycle-related changes? More or less cramping or bloating? No difference at all?
- Where are you in "life" right now? Anything else going on that would drive a drop in sex drive? Are you sleeping well? Stress levels? Diet? Training quality?
I'd suggest dropping the dose down to 20mg/day at least to see if that much higher dose is the source of the issues. I would also suggest throwing in something like Evening primrose oil w/ your EFAs - it helps to even out estrogen responses if that might be contributing to the overall response. If you're really having concerns then I would get bloodwork.
And just in general, when you're coming off, we're sort of back to the discussion of whether or not women need PCT - Not really in as dramatic a way as guys need it, but obviously there is going to be some changes that were induced by the cycle, and we all know how dramatically hormone levels affect your mood. My personal observation is that the biggest mood swings come not in the middle of a cycle, or in the middle of your period for that matter - but rather when there's a hormone flux - at the beginning or the end. One thing you can do to help manage the depression is to use Inositol, particularly powder Inositol - it is just a B vitamin so nothing fancy, dramatic or expensive. If you load it at the levels recommended on the container, you should see the depression aspect reduced signfiicantly fairly quickly.
Some quick links, but you can google "depression inositol" as well.

Mostly be sure you're not getting a cap that has other stuff in it because the combined amounts of multiple things in pills frequently are the wrong ratio to make the pill useful for what you were trying to get it for.
