I have been cutting for about 10 weeks now and things have went pretty well and I have to say thank you to many of you on this board for really helping me with my diet (Emma L.), different supps and routines (Mudge, Rob Dimaggio...others), I am within 5lbs of my overall goal and havent lost ANY strength...in fact I have gotten stronger on several lifts. I was/have been in a "summer slim-down challenge" at my gym: they count cardio minutes, most pounds lost, most inches lost (waist, leg, arm are measured). I weighed in at the beginning at 286 1/2lbs and as of today I weigh 259lbs on the nose. I dont have the measurments just yet (final weigh in and measurement is in the morning) but I have dropped two pant sizes and all my clothes fit loosely right now. As for strength my old personal best on benchpress was 315 for 5 reps. I lost some strength in the middle of the cut but I made some adjustements in my diet and workout routine and I am actually right back where I started and then some! My previous best in another area was on dumbbell press: I could get the 100's up maybe 4 times at best. Monday I was able to press up the 110's for 7 clean reps. I could not be happier with the progress so far and Im not done yet. My ultimate goal is to get down to around 245lbs and then try to pack on as much lean mass as possible.
