Islamic law ... as in the rules set forth for mankind from GOD himself ... requires removal of sexual temptation from the social environment. If the gym these ladies signed up with at that time stated there would be gender seperation then they either must make with the goods or pay the price.

Bonecrusher is a thoughtful guy. I've been reading his posts for two years now. You're a bit harsh with him. For what it's worth, I don't agree with these women's religious insanity but they have the right to exercise that insanity even in a case where membership to a health club was contingent on the availability of single-sex facilities. That's simple contract law.

They should simply put up a partition between the old side and the new side since the contract was for the old side and didn't include the new side when the lifetime memberships were purchased.

You see I have a few friends that are Muslim none of them are Arab and are more liberal in their beliefs, yet they still believe in some modesty between men and women. In fact none of the Muslim women I know wear any kind of head covering and wear short sleeve shirts and shorts at times. If they had come to an agreement with a gym to have seperate day's for men and women then it should be supported.

But you can continue to live in your pristine world where all Muslims are stinky dirty Arab suicide bombing lowlifes and all other stereotypes apply to whomever else except for yourself.

In the US, your religion has absolutely nothing to do with whether or not you should receive a refund, because the practices of a business violate the rules of your religion. My gym and almost every other gym in Mobile got bought out by Planet Fitness, which happens to be the fruitiest pussified gym of all times. I had my contract bought out from under me with a year to go. If I have to workout with pussies and wimps everyday, those fucking whores can workout with guys.

I am saying that they are responsible for reading their contract just like everyone else. I am all for equality, which is exactly why I feel that they aren't special. People get fucked everyday by companies, because they do not read the fine print.

Using your religion as an excuse to sign legal binding contracts, then trying to get out of fulfilling your end of the deal is despicable.
What next? People will start using stupidity or ignorance as an excuse.
"Well I didn't know that I was supposed to make a payment every month, so I want out of the contract". I do not want to go down that slippery slope.

I am being fucked right now on a $400.00 gym membership, and I read my contracts. There wasn't a damn thing in my contract about what happens to me if the gym sells out to another owner. Planet Fitness is basically telling me that I am lucky that they are honoring Power House's contract to me.
So, I have no sympathy to those women.
