hi usually i just eat an apple or two and some soy milk before my work outs, then have breakfast after the workout. is this a good idea? i'm trying to gain mass btw. thanks

What about protein??

Welcome!

Why aren't you eating any protein before your workout?

Personally I always have a shake before I train...whether cutting or bulking...I mix 1.5 scoops of protein in with some strawberries and a little flax oil....combined with a good 1/2L of water...gives me some carbs, protein, fat, and plenty of fluid. I usually have this about 1 hour before training...if cutting...maybe 90 minutes to 2 hrs. prior.

hi thanks : )

unfortunately i don't have any access to a blender or anything...any other ideas? thanks

Try an apple and some milk....or even en egg, couple egg whites, and an apple.

I would consider getting a blender though...they're pretty inexpensive...you can also get the portable ones for under 20 bucks.

A worthwhileinvestment if you're serious about making gains and achieving your goals.

hi,

i'm living in a college dorm so sort of limited with what i'm allowed to have (not supposed to have a blender) but i'll try to sneak one in. as to the ingredient to the shake..where do i go about buying the protein and stuff? can you find that at a normal grocery store? thanks

FOr protein you need to go to a supplement store like GNC or Vitamin shop.

You don;t need a blender either. I just put my protein powder in a shaker bottle (which can also be purchased at your local nutrition store) and put some water and/or flax seed oil in it and shake it up. You can also buy this stuff (protein powder and shaker bottle) online.
