As they will be illegal U.S., residents are advised not to keep steroids after the ban. For others, heat, light, oxygen, and humidity will each contribute to the degradation of your goods. The best route will be to place your packaged (not loose) goods in a top-of-the-line ziplock freezer bag. I'd recommend that you remove all the air in the bag using a pump-vacuum sealer (Ebay).
You could also add oxygen and/or moisture absorbers before sealing the bag. Double-bagging and sealing could only help. Place your container in a deep-freeze. Obviously it would be intelligent to break down your stock into cycles prior to storage, so that you can thaw cycles one at a time.
How long will the compounds last? If you take all of the above precautions, I suspect no less than 4-5 years. Should the potency deteriorate, the compounds will still work for some time, however you might need a little more to do the same job.
