I have posted on some other boards and noone seems to understand what i am trying to ask....

OK...I keep reading "supersets" in every GVT article i come across alon wth 90seconds rest between sets. What exactly am I supersetting?? Lets say i am doing Chest + Back:

Flat Bench 10x10
BB rows 10x10
Incline Hammer PRess 3x10
Chins 3x10

AM i supersetiing bench/rows?? like i was thinking of it:
bench - 10 reps....rest 90 sec then row - 10 reps..rest 90 sec then bench - 10 reps...etc.

OR am i just supersetting the supplementary work?

Please, can someone read and understand my question fully since no one else on the internet can!

I've never read anything on GVT, but i shouldn't think it really matters.

Superset the 3x10s or something. Either way it's not going to make or break the program.

no offense but if you have read nothing on GVT then please do not reply to my thread. i appreciate your advice and help but honestly that really doesnt help me. i'd rather get input someone who actually knows about GVT not trying to be an a-hole man, just being frustrated with the lack of clarity on this program

lol, yeah Gaz, what would you know.......

GVT is not some special routine that doesnt follow the basic factors of physiology, so whether or not Gaz has read about it is irrelevant. And if your trying to add mass I wouldnt says its the best routine for you.

1. Go to google.

2. Type in "german volume training".

3. Click the first fucking link (Bodybuilding.com - Charles Poliquin - German Volume Training!)

4. Scroll down about halfway and look at the program layout.

5. See where its got helpful little labels for each exercise "A1/A2" and "B1/B2"? Those are your supersets. Hence why they are labeled the same.


I know dick all about GVT, but all that took was 60 seconds, basic reading comprehension, and an ass without a stick in it. Have a nice day :ohyeah:

because basic fucking rules of physiology apply. Gaz is merely telling you that it wont make a big difference. GVT isnt the end all, be all of training.
That being said, try looking at Gaz's credentials before writing him off as being an asshole.
Go read a book peckerhead.

Soon as finals are done im gonna get to work on alternating, undulating and conjugate periodization articles. I wish i had time to write more, lol.
