i apericeate every one reacts differently but ive never tryed the stuff and heard mixed reviews so thought id post up a thread.
as my user name suggests im not a body builder and im not looking to gain loads of size as mma is my main interest and i compete in a 145lb weight classed fights,im currently training 7 hours of mma and 4 hours of weights spread over 5-6 days per week,im seeing a steady slow progression in strength/definetion gains and eating a good diet but im concerned about the possibility of overtraining or mising any amino acids/minerals/vitamins/nutiants.
the only suppliments i use are whey,multi-vit and fish oil and concidering glutamine.....?

Hey man!

If your intake of protein from food is high, than you don't have to worry about missing anything.

Glutamine is beneficial to endurance athletes mostly. If you are worried about over training, I would get BCAA and take them before working out.

You don't need it. Eat complete proteins and your good. Also, whey has glutamine in it as well so no worries.

I've always though as long as your protein consumption is high there is no need.

Unless it's taken IV, then it's pretty damn useless.

From personal experience, I gain more easily when I take casein instead of whey

people take specific aminos for a reason whether it is BCAA r leucine or glutamine or whatever oher one .... I guess it is important to weigh out the reason why the extra supplementation makes sense for you or not and what your goals are... Since glutamine and leucine are both major in assisting you r anabolism, (they sort of lead the way in specific ways) people take them there are reasons for supplementation that go beyond just saying it is contained in regular protein.... so you are getting your fair share. (not quite).

my mulit vitamin mineral has vitamin c in it, 500 mg but I take vitamin c supplements of 4 g a day....

if you take glutamine, take it with your casein and at bedtime if you had to pick only one time of day and take 10 g added to your casein.

I've tried it, didn't notice any benefits. Worthless placebo status :coffee:
