this has possible been beaten to death, but.....

What are all of your goals for lifting weights, bb, etc.?

I just realized the other day that I was lifting in the same manner for quite some time and kind of realized that I don't want to be much bigger than I am right now, not that I'm huge, or even ape-like, but I'm thinking of slimming down a bit and trying to get more cut, thinking about starting to mountain bike more, it's awesome. I know that I don't have much in the way of conversation with many of you as of yet, but was curious as to all of your goals in spending all of our time in the gym?
 
My goal is to keep in great shape while others my age just get old and fat.
I plan on being an old grandpa that can kick some ass!! :thumb:

This may sound corny but, I feel like I am an artist trying to create a magnificent statue out of a lump of clay and untill i get a certain idea or look I want I will always make room for changes...

Look good (if that was possible)
Feel good
Accomplishment (That rush from reaching goals)
Friendships (meeting people in the gym and online)

Yep... me too... being 36 AAAHHHHH.. I just want to stay in shape at this point.. keep my current shape... even trim back down to about 180 - 185 down from 190... and get my waist back down to 31-32.. from 34... while maitaining all muscle I've gained. Then stay that way.. for the next 25-30 years..... then loss about 1lb and 1% of my strength a year for the remainder of my life.... while staying healthy and self reliance until I go to sleep one night around 85 years old and never wake up

My goal is to get stronger so that when I'm doing other sports I'll be a little less likely to be injured.
 
To get stronger AND faster. I am getting in shape for Master's Track and Field, 60 and 100 meter sprints. After 7 years of smoking the herb, sprinting is hard! but so much fun:thumb:
I want to look like Linford Christie.
 
My goal is to beat another of our schools fitness records!!!
