Ok i go to school and get out at 3:00pm the gym i go to is in a town 15 miles from where i live and go to school i was wondering if anyone else had to drive 15-30 min every day to go to the gym my plan is to go right after im out of school so im thinking of bringing just the right amount of whey in like a zip lock bag and ill use some water from the gym or go buy some milk and use a mixing cup. This defeats me having to try 15 miles just to drink a protein shake. So i have a good protein drink before i workout but on the way home id like to put other things in my drink than just the Whey like oats, and i would rather be at home because of the convinces of all the kitchen ware and food. So will it put me at a disadvantage to have to drive home and sit in the car for 20 min then Make my post workout shake and meal or will it be the same as taking it immediately after or 30 min before my workout is done.

thanks everyone

you'll be fine if its just 20 minutes. I am in the same situation and I just wait till I get home. Otherwise if your that worried about it get a shaker cup and have it ready with powder in it for after the workout.. before leaving the gym mix in the water and shake it up and drink on your way home.

thanks for the input everyone! So 20 minutes is ok? The reason is cause i want to drink it with oats :D trying to bulk...Could anyone tell me if there is a difference between rolled oats and steel cut oats and stone ground oats

Thanks!

i dont feel like explaining but you basically have up to 45 mins to get the protein in after a workout but the sooner the better.
