Well, I'm like 7... you wouldn't think going down 4 percent is hard. Holy smokes... whenever I try going my catabolics kick in real bad. I usually run in the morning for about 45 minutes and before I go to bed and I have about 6 small meals a day. I don't know why it doesn't work. Any ideas?

you're lucky to be @ 7 , as a newbie i'm floating around 20

Geez, I'd be more than happy to be at 7% but think I'd probably be tired all the time. You must be riped up good!!!!!!! :thumb:

Check out the nutrition board, they'll fix you up good and good luck with the compitition (I assume thats why you want to go so low).

im new to this site, and am fairly new to training. 8 months to be exact. i have recently been trying different methods to get leaner in the mid section, to no avail. i was wondering how important it is to do cardio? because a trainer at my gym says the thin layer of fat i have is all in my diet, however i have cut all dairy, and fat from my diet. is there other ways to drop my fat %? can anybody recommend some other diet plans, or other things i could drop from my diet? i eat 6 small meals a day, to increase my metabolism, no dairy, no fats, i try to stick to mainly rice, chicken, tuna, things like that, with some variations. i try to use flax oil, instead of butters. etc.. if anybody can recommend something else that would be great.

Welcome to Ironmag pipelayer!!! :thumb:

You'll really need to start counting cals, the lower you get the tougher it is. Cardio isn't nessesary but it does help, diet is the key as you've heard.

Check out the nutrition board, they' can help you out.

7 is good the lowest I have been is 7.5 I usually hover around 10

I as well am working to lower my body fat a little. Although i have a visible six pack, which i am quite content with, i feel i could still use a little more. How many calories can you cut without compromising muscle gains, or is it possible to do both at the same time. I have several protein shakes a day but they provide a large number of calories, I would cut some but i don't know how to cut the bananas and oj without going insane from lack of flavor. Anyways, I am so close to being where I want, just curious if there is a way to finish it off, and how do i know how many calories to consume at that point in order to gain muscle, while maintaining a low body fat %?

I also would be pleased with 7%. Sorry no tips here  , i'd be tryin the nutrituin board too.
