I wanted to add spinach to my diet, and was wondering, what are some good ways to prepare it so that it tastes decent?

Soak some spinach overnight in a bit of balsamic vinegar and 'fresh' basil. Drain, don't rinse, and through it in with some scrambled eggs and feta cheese.

or

Just it add it fresh to a normal salad and don't forget the tuna and a hard boiled egg!

i actually mix it in with my tuna (the freezer kind) or i take the fresh stuff and mix it in a salad with cottage cheese

Squeeze the can till it pops out shoots in the air and lands in your pipe, then you swallow it...

Saute in olive oil with fresh crushed garlic.

I like it better than lettuce so my salads are based around baby spinach. For cooked greens spinach is to light for me. I like mustard greens the best. Of course the best way to have spinach is spinach dip but it may not work into your diet. You buy Knorr's Vegetable Soup Mix and fallow the directions on the back of the box. It's kick ass good.

Depends if its fresh/frozen/canned..

But my uncle whos is a leb made this shit with heaps of lemon juice, sauteed onion and garlic. It basically stewed down into a rich green slurry almost. Tasted fantastic.

I normally buy the chopped frozen kind, and then just nuke it and put heaps of freshly cracked pepper and the juice of 1 lemon/lime.

Bloody brilliant.

I'm just curious what you can get in Australia from your grocer?? Nowadays we get everything all year in the USA from the produce end of the store. It's winter here and you can get cherries, watermelon, peaches etc etc.

I know it's summer there but do you get stuff out of season . I wondered because I almost never need to buy canned of frozen anything.

The only was I like spinach is fresh. I've tried cooking it several times, it just never worked out. I tried the canned stuff once, and let me tell ya, that stuff tastes like ass.

Well we pretty much have the same situation. Where I live, its a little bit more remote, and it reflects in the prices of food. Sometimes frozen is just easier and cheaper than the fresh produce. I hate canned veggies, so I steer clear of them.

I love frozen veggies over canned veggies...although you can find decent tasting canned veggies. Green giant is usually the only one I will settle for. Their corn niblets are a yummy snack to eat out of the can. Has anyone ever tried the niblets as snacks b4?

I eat it with a milky way...

Actually kidding. I usually like it with butter and a bit of heavy cream. Not a lot, but enough to see the white through the spinach.
