Kids these days are pussies, they either kill themselves or a bunch of innocent kids over bullying. It's pathetic, stand up for yourself and fight. If you know that's definitely not possible fight dirty and jump the bully.

Kids these days get picked on..then keep it in until they break. I think the parents and teachers need better communication with students at home and in classroom.. Clearly this kid has some deep seeded issues that fell on def ears.. There were many reports of this kid being bullied and nobody seemed to take it serious until 5 shot and 1 dead.. As a father of 4, I pray for my kids to open up and be good kids..

Tragedy.

Interested to learn how the student acquired the weapon.

He brought it to school. That's a good question. Maybe took from home?

news said he stole it from his Uncle.

back in the day there were not as many avenues to bully somebody it was done at school and/or on the way home, etc. today there is that, the internet, text messaging, etc. then add in the fact that kids today are not consuming th the same quality of foods as there used to be. poor nutrition & less exercise equals greater mental illness. and on top of that the US is an extremely violent society with large amounts of firearms at 90 per 100 people, it's a recipe for disaster.

This was his idea of fighting back. That's a bad strategy to have. The better strategy is to teach kids to not be assholes and hurt each other simply to think they're cool for putting others down.

I could not help to notice how todays video games like NBA 2012 are so realistic in a sense that it feels you are playing actual basketball. Every parent has a responsibility to enroll their kids into some type of physical activity, no matter how busy the parents schedule is. No excuses, if you breed lazyness don't complain when it blows up in societies face america!!!

there's lots of studies coming out that are showing some pretty negative effects from violent video games when used by those that are very young. add in all those environmental factors that I listed and you would almost have to expect an increase in these types of random acts of violence. would like to see that the parents are like and what kind of coping skills they have.
