Just wondering if this happens to anyone else. Like I've already been to the gym today, and I have the urge to go back again and do tomorrows workout tonight, and it's so hard for me to wait until tomorrow...it's driving me nuts. Even days where I know I should just rest..I just have to goto the gym, I just cant get enough of lifting those weights.

Gym addiction can next lead to gym burnout and overtraining. My advice would be to FEEL THE ADDICTION and don't go back, this way you go back hungry.

This is where it actually takes as much motivation for us to rest as it does for lazy people to go to the gym. Be aware that you MUST REST and only in time will you know how long is right for you. Also, after BB for a while, although the enthusiasm only grows over time, you learn to understand how it fits in with the rest of your life. You need a life as well. Use BB as your motivation for all of life. Use it as your focus, you drive to create and reach goals.

Wow, getting pretty insperational there KarlW, but i totally agree. I always look forward to working out, but stick to my schedule. This way when i do get to the gym the workout is more intense.

Endorphins are a beautiful, beautiful thing...

Right on KarlW!:thumb:

Smoke,
Maybe you can rework your split and daily schedule so you
can start hittin the gym twice a day.
You can do one bodypart in the morning and another in the evening or cardio in the morning and weights at night.
I know alot of people who hit the gym twice a day.
Two-a-days can play a vital role in a reved up metabolism
But it's all for nothing if you don't get proper rest and fuel your body with the right foods.
No rest=No gains

I also had those days when I was so eager to go to gym and do workouts, until I was overtrained and got sick for 2 weeks. After that experience I always remind myself that I need those rest days, so that my workouts can be fruitful and have lasting results, not diminished by sickness.

My problem is that I don't have a life and the only free time I have for myself is spent in the gym, because that's where I want to be.

As for your gym addiction, I agree with Chest Rockwell---try to split up your routine by doing cardio in the morning and lifting at night, as it should satisfy your urge to go twice. If not, like someone else said, you'll just have to wait until you get sick before you have a serious change of heart. It sounds cruel, but that's what happened to me...

I have to be honest. I am an addict.

That's right, my name is Animal, and I am addicted to the gym.

Is it the pump, the feeling of the blood rushing to my muscles, bloating me to the size of Uncle Arnold for just a short period?

Is it the headtrip I take, everytime I walk by a mirror to see a striation I've never noticed before? Or to see my muscles have grown noticeably? Even sexy-like?

Is it the hot chicks eyeing me on the street like never before? Better yet, the mutually healthy, especially hot, chicks in the gym?

Is it the fact that I can now beat everyone up?

I'd say help me, but let me enjoy my addiction. This is a GOOD HABIT that I don't plan on breaking anytme soon. ;)

Now if only I could corner that diet issue!
