For those who might remember I kept asking about Gyno the past few years because of nipple pain I'd been having. Well I finally went to a surgeon today and it's confirmed, I've got gyno in the left pectoral. We're setting up surgery to have it taken care of in about a month. I'm just glad to finally know what it is.

He said it was nothing I took (I listed all my past 'supplements'). He said it happens with certain weightlifters, swimmers, and wrestlers (the real ones, not fake tv) because of certain repetitive motions over years will stimulate gyno in certain people prone to it. Interesting.

that is interesting to know it can develop without any triggers...what does the surgery call for? just removing fat from the pec?

I guess it's the gland or whatever is triggering the swelling and pain that's removed. He said he'll make an incision right before my nipple starts (where the color changes from light to dark) and cut out what seems to be a small lump.

Thanks buddy, I'll be glad to have it gone.

hope surgery turns out safe and okay for you.

Good luck man. I feel your pain. I have always believed that I had natural gyno. I have always had more fat distribution around my pectoral region, which I think is due to me being a fat ass when I was younger.

Best of luck with the surgery. I am curious of the cost, as I will be looking into surgey as soon as I have enough money to have it done. Also, is there any chance insurance will pick up the tab?

Thanks man, I'll let you know the cost after it's done. I assume insurance will pick it up. The Doc knew I was quitting my job and the first thing he asked was about my insurance changing and the upcoming surgery. I took that as a sign it'd be covered somewhat, so we'll see.

Good luck, hope all goes well with the surgery.

Sounds awfully cosmetic to me!?!?

I have the exact same condition, but I am guilty of taking
some of the early andro products in my powerlifting days...

I have noticed it big time sice I dropped like 17lbs recently
it was always housed in fat, so not noticed...
The sensitivity is there though (yowch)

Please keep us posted...
And if your insurance covers it... Let us know how, and how much?
