Ha Ha Ashlee Simpson Caught On SNL

Jessica is okay in my book. It's all part of the PoP culture. Nothing new here. Next Summer it'll be someone else. :shrug: I still think Britney is the hottest commodity of them all. I don't think she has any super talents but she knows how to do business and make some wicked money by giving people what they want. After all she does get at least one thumbs up for staying power... She's been on the scene almost 7 years now :eek:

she reminds me of Madonna, she is not the best looking, nor the best singer or dancer, but overall a great performer and has enough talent in each area to make it all work. she will be around for a long time IMO.

I agree. She has a certain shock value to her to keep the media guessing. I think she is sexy in her own rugged way. :p Hell I'd kiss her too :shhh:

she disgraced the original song...i wish her and her sister would disappear from the music scene
 
Ever try to move on stage like that AND sing? I played in a band (we sucked) in the mid to late '70s and it is hard to keep your vocal tones even just swinging a guitar around ... let alone the dance acts these people do. No way I ever believed Chimo Jackson was really singing in thriller or any of the more active crap he was doing then ... and McDona comes on the scene and steps it up even more. Lip sinking is their only way to dance AND put the music through the sound sytem at the same time. I guess if ya like those types of music (I don't) then pay your $90 for a ticket to go get ripped off. Gimmie Disturbed anytime ... plus they actually WRITE and sing their own stuff :thumb:

Her remake sux like a vaccum cleaner.
Have any of u ever been sarah Maclachlan's show? She can sing pretty good with her guitar. If we are to talk about talent, it could be a different issue.

So true. Being on stage is 80% improv, hindsight aside, I dont think she could have handled it worse if shed tried to. I remember my first thoughts when I saw this happen were,"haha, its saturday night live.. they're joking." She didnt even try though; things went south and she just followed. Then again; you would think she would KNOW HER OWN SONGS well enough to realize someone f'd up and play it off(Not that there was much of a beat to recognize at the begining.. but still.); at the part she ,"started singing" she actually had the mic near her mouth; but she kept moving, lol

Now, if we can use hindsight to decide what she should have done.. theres 2 obvious options..
Right after the lip syncing was obvious, she should have immediately-
1. Ripped of her shirt and any undergarments.
2. Started swearing rabidly into the mic.

Being,"live" means theres a 3 - 5 second delay and someone is watching with their finger on the o shit button; she should have made him press it and then the entire incident would have just been a rumor.
