1 ml would equal 500 ius.
using a .5 cc slin pin the 50 mark would be 250 ius correct?

Yes. The next question I'm not sure as the only slin pins I've seen are 1cc. If the pin you are using is .5cc then the thing, full, would be 250 IUs.

alot easier math wise to do 5000iu in 5ml of bac02, then you have 1000iu per ml, 1/4 of the syringe is 250iu.....with the 10ml you are going to be shooting alot of bac02, jmo, but i like things a bit more concentrated
