Hi all.

I need help. I have got a 6 pack which is quite well defined, so I guess that means that I'm not 'fat', but I have not got a flat stomach. I really want a flat stomach more than the 6 pack!

Most of the fat around my stomach is just under my belly button and above my waist so that when you look at me from side on, it looks a bit like a 'd' shape.

Does anyone have any idea as to how I can get a flat stomach so that I look more like a 'l' shape?

Take care everyone. Many, many thanks for your help!

diet is the key. you can train your butt off and do a million ab crunches but those arent going to help unless diet is in line. what does your current diet look like?

Hi atherjen
I'd say my diet wasn't the best in the world. I try to eat healthily most of the times, my calorie intake is probably around 1800-2200 per day and at times my fat intake is normally less than 30g per day. But recently I always seem to be hungry so am snacking quite a lot, but I have less big meals at mealtimes to compensate for this. However I sometimes get really greedy and can finish off 200g boxes of chocolates at once. I know that's really bad, but I just don't seem to have the willpower anymore. :help:

hmmm could you do me a favour and post your stats. and then post your diet meal by meal .sometimes people think that they are eating clean enough for fatloss when there are always tweaks to be made.
post like this :
meal 1-
meal 2-
, etc

are you doing any cardio?

meal 1 - branflakes with skimmed milk
meal 2 - wholemeal pitta bread sandwich with chicken breast and salad and orange and apple.
meal 3 - same as meal 2 except with potatoes added.
meal 4 - (sometimes) same as meal 1
snacks: throughout the day I have some more fresh fruit, dried sultanas, 2-3 pots of low fat yoghurt and the occasional 1 or 2 bars of chocolates.

That is my typical daily diet.
Also I do not do any cardio due to my time restrictions. (I'm at uni with my final finals ever coming up soon!)

Thank you for your time and help. I really, really appreciate it!

ok well I defintly see room for changes.
-instead of bran flakes for breakfast make it old fashioned oatmeal. drop the milk and switch it for egg whites. you need more protein clearly.
-too much fruit!! limit it to 2 small peices a day such as a small apple or pear, 1/2c berries.
-replace that pita with brown rice
-is it a white potato? if so, make it only a sweet potato.
-DITCH the chocolate bars. these are determinal to progress.
-no yogurt, too many sugars in it.

you really need more protein as well. you should be eating a small meal every 2.5-3 hrs max. 5-6 small meals/day to keep your metabolism up. aim for a minimum of 1g/lb bodyweight divided between each meal.

I also dont see ANY healthy fats in your diet! :finger: fish oil caps, and/or fatty fish, olive oil, Udos oil, flaxoil, natural peanut butter, nuts/seeds in moderation. these are needed for proper hormonal output and cell metabolism.

make those changes to diet and then if you can add in a couple days of cardio. make them HIIT (high intensity interval training).

Atherjen is a smartie... good advice...

I would also recommend including some tuna in your diet and really focus your carb intake around first meal in the morning and before or after your workout... yogurt for example... should only be consumed first thing in the morning or directly before or after a workout if at all... you're smart enough to include carbs in your diet, just refocus when you are including them... also cardio like HIT or simple aerobic activity 2 times a week will make a difference...

If you've got money to burn, I would highly suggest buying 2 products by Advant labs... Ab-Solved and Lipoderm ultra...

Thank you Atherjen and HoldDaMayo..... I'll try to follow your advice.

HoldDaMayo, I've definately decided to try the products you mentioned. Do you know if they definately work and which one I should go for to get rid of the fat just below my belly?

Many thanks for everyone's help!

If your stomach is flat then its probably VAT you need to get rid of. If thats the case then I would suggest Ab-solved for the belly and lipo ultra for hips and thighs.

For the sake of science, we refer to that area as the FUPA.

Muscle Gelz Transdermals
IronMag Labs Prohormones
Hard to say... ab-solved works in a different way then lipoderm... and I've read where some people have LOVED ab-solved, and some have LOVED lipoderm... I suggest you do a 4 week cycle of each... just make sure your calories are in check while you use them, they both work better in a controlled calorie intake environment... good luck :D
