Guys

I do Cardio 3-4 times aweek. I read that you should walk, run whatever for 30 to 45 minutes to get fat burning. My question is, I am limited on my time at the Gym so to of those 3-4 days I like to get in a Upper Arms, and Chest workout, but my main goal in to drop weight alot of weight. Should I concetrate strickly on My diet and Cardio to start and not worry so much about the Muscles untill I am alittle more trim. I have a good deal of Mass I and don't want to lose to much of it. Please help I have 4 months to lose aboout 40 pounds to start and that is my main goal, once I get there I will really start building muscle.

Jman, Welcome to the board!

You should DEFINITELY stay with the weights AND the cardio.

Your extra muscle mass is what is going to keep your metabolism up.

Make it simple, do your weights then do your cardio afterwards.

Just make sure you are not full of tons of carbs before your workouts. Also I would suggest using some sort of BCAA to help keep the muscle while you are doing your weights and cardio.

Then start writing down EVERYTHING you eat for 3 days. Post it up here and we can help you figure things out.

Do more of a circuit style workout, with shorter RI's. It will seriously kick your ass.

this is something i've been looking for some help with, how would you suggest splitting these circuit workouts? (push/pull/legs, upper/lower. ect. using giant sets for each body part before moving on to another) or would you just do 3 full body sessions per week. or does it really matter as long as your doing your excercises back to back with no rest in between them?

Work in some light intensity, possibly steady state cardio on your weightlifting days. Do some HIIT on some of your off days. Remember to eat right and rest as well.

Rest what is that. I try my best to get rest, I have a 3 month old daughter at home so rest is not an option. Speaking of rest what is a good amount of hours to rest?
