Hey guys, I've decided to start MAX-OT it seems like a good training program, and I don't have to spend a lot of time at the gym everyday.
My Questions:
So I wondering about MAX-OT, it claims it works for everyone but does it?
What should I cut out of MAX-OT like the 2-3 minute rests and the warmups, like how can I finish my workout in under 40 minutes with the warmups and the 2-3 minute rests?
Do I have to follow MAX-OT to a "T'?
How should I go about starting MAX-OT because I don't have a lot of time to read the whole thing. What are like the most important aspects of MAX-OT that I need to know before I begin?
Also can I bulk up while doing MAX-OT?
And am I supposed to make up my own routine with MAX-OT?
Thanks

that statement just made me forgo any sort of effort to answer ANY question in the post.

you want to workout but you want to be lazy in your research...youd get ALOT more help..if you did the research and asked for us to fill in some holes that you dont understand.. not spoon feed you..

I agree. First the poster wants to do workout "x" because it seems like a good program, then asks a series of questions that proves that he/she doesn't know if its a good program or not, or it appears, if its a program at all! " Do I have to make up my own routine?"

We usually tell people to go read the stickies if you have no clue what you're doing. But since you're too lazy to read we can't even do that. This generation Y and the like...so many people want instant gratification, like the internet gives. The body is not digital. Its analog. It takes time, continuous time. Don't be lazy. By not reading, you will fall for every marketing article/dvd/website/daytrainer, etc in the book, and your results will be average and non sustainable. I'll tell you a protocol. Learn proper benching with bb and db, do pull ups and rows, learn proper squats and deadlifts. You can be in and out of the gym in 40 minutes easy. Oh yea and learn how to eat.

Ya sorry I didn't really mean that I just wanted to know like the basics if I didn't finish the whole thing before I went to workout.

I'd like to paraphrase Mark Rippetoe when he was asked a similar question about "Starting Strength":

The plan is in the fucking book. That's what the book is about. That's why the author wrote the book. Read it, and use it. Really, the book is too long to post here. Read the fucking book.

Have some patience and get your program sorted in advance of starting it! Until then do what you've been doing beforehand.
