I am new to the forum. I narrow my dumbbell choice to the Dura-Bell-Urethane Hex Dumbbells - 5-50 lb. Set - Hampton (DBU-5-50). Base on my research, I found out the rubber dumbbell smells or give out an order. I read the rubber has to be "virgin rubber" if you don't want them to smell. Is this the case for this particular brand. Any feedback and thoughts is appreciated.

Those Dura-Bell-Urethane Hex Dumbbells suck ass, IMHO. The covering often peels off after a few months of using them, and the covering is specifically excluded from their warranty. They are pieces of crap in my opinion, and I think the company probably knew the covering would fail (unlike rubber), which is why it is specifically excluded from warranty coverage.
