I do a 5min warm up
20 min hard as sh!t HIIT
and then 5min cool down.

should I go longer. I am trying to loose BF but I really hate cardio.

how long is everyone doing theirs

You are doing it correctly. HIIT workouts should be short but intense.

I do 10 min warm up..then 30 mins sprint for 1 min then walk for 1 min...5mins cooldown

I hate it...but feel good afterwards....your probably doing it right

Im trying to shed the blubber too...think its best to alternate it abit doing it quicker or for longer to keep the body guessing..

K Kat x

no don't go longer, 20 mins is long enough... personally i'd say 20 mins is too long, you should be aiming more around the 15 min mark, make sure that each session your increasing the speed/incline/resistance, i'd crank up the intensity until you can only make 15 mins, then work at that for a week or so, once you can reach 16-17mins crank it up again, so your keeping the intensity as high as possible

yeah, I was just wondering. Because in the burn the fat book he says you should
allot more than that. "more cals burned more fat lost" I'm not too sure about all
that. In there he's talking atleast 30min-45min funk dat :finger: everything else in
book is great but i really don't like the cardio he has layed out for everyone. I am
probably wrong since that guy knows like a billion times as much as I do about fitness.

i've always heard its not about how many cals you burn in a session, its how much the cardio effects you're BMR, and HIIT cardio affects your BMR a lot more than more lengthly cardio sessions, so not only do you burn more in less time, but you also burn more fat throughout the rest of the day whatever you're doing, like i said i'm not sure if there is research behind all this, but its just something i recall reading and it made sense so i only do HIIT from now on, and it seems to work great for me

this book was referring to aerobix exercise. I am also reading this book. 40-45 mins aerobic. It also mentioned this was under extreme measures.

Good book though.

Ok, fill me in...what is HIIT?

HIIT = High Intensity Interval Training

Hi guys, my HIIT session consist of 20 minustes, and I do 1 minute normal speed and 30 seconde top speed, and so on until I reach 20 minutes.
What do you think of that kind of HIIT?
