lol

10x 10 dumbbell bench press...wow...

I think I am going to write these magazines and ask them to develop some programs where someone doesnt have to spend 8 hours in the gym.

For fucks sakes, how ignorant are these people!?!?!

Remember to consult your doctor before starting any diet and training program.

This isnt a program its retarted.

Good point, but I think it would be good for those who have a couple of extra hours just to do their calves.

10x10 anything is just...bleh. Why would you do this?

Ok I'll play devils advocate here. What if you were training for endurance? Then lighter weights and 10x10 might not be all bad.

Thoughts???

Also without a lot of growth hormone, I don't care what program you train you won't look like one of the muscletech poster children.

Other sources label it as German volume training. 10 x 10 of a compound, followed by 3 sets of an isolation exercise. 2 exercises in total per body part, working each body part once every 4 or 5 days.

The problem is if you're training for endurance, 10 reps isnt all that high at all. 8-10 is more mid range.

If i was training for endurance or work capacity, id much rather incorporate tri-sets, and reps of about 16-20.

I really dont think 10 sets at that intensity (10 reps) is smart at all. Especially with something as taxing as Deadlifts! Overtraining here we come.

I hate German Volume Training. I think you overtrain very easily with it and to be honest its boring as hell. Why use it whenever there are so many other good templates to use? And better yet, why not just be original and make your own?

i think you will get the best results in the least amount of time by shocking your body. max-ot and german volume are able to that and Im not saying you have to follow them mindlessly.

GVT is not saving time by no means. 10 sets of 10 and then like 3 sets of something else is pretty time consuming. Again would make much more sense to me to just write your own program.

I think if you tinker with it, it would be ok. But as far as the first plan they outlined, not so much.
