STFU!!!!! :fire:

They won. That's all I care about right now. They've got one in a row and that's the start of a sixteen game win streak and the lifting of Lord Stanley's Cup. :thumb:

I just wish they'd make more attempts. :( I hate to give digger credit for having half a brain but he's right about one thing, they SHOULD have knocked Ottawa's shorts right out of the rink. With that size advantage it should have been no contest but they didn't use it AT ALL! I hope Barber can find a winch big enough to pull thier heads out SOON. Cechmanek had a great game but he can't win it alone. He and Boucher haven't had any goal support in about two months and that ain't gonna get it done.

It looked like they were running all over the ice trying to make hits and not plays. They really got out of position on alot of plays. Not until late third period and OT when they concentrated on hockey and not hitting did they dominate.

And even that wouldn't have been so bad but they MISSED most of the hits. :fire:

I agree with you on this one. I think the Flyers spend too much time playing the muck and grind game. they have so much talent it is a waste to see them dump and chase at every oppertunity they get.

And just like thier hitting the chasing SUCKED!!! What was the percentage of battles they actually won along the boards? 10? Oh well, like I said, they won. Time to move on and get ready for tomorrow.

 GO FLYERS  GO FLYERS  GO FLYERS

So you get read for Flyers hockey how? Bring out a big box of Kleenex, 12 beer (six if they're Canadian). Then watch them lose and cry in your beer.

haven't the flyers had something like 9 different #1 goalies in the last eight playoff years? Hopefully for the philly phaithful, roman checkmanek (sp?) is the answer to their post-season goaltending woes.

having a starting goalie has been a problem for the Flyers for a number of yeas. Philly hasn't has a "star" goalie in a long time.

Not since Bernie Parent!!!!

yeah, that has been quite some time hasn't it

Of course, they had Pelle Lindbergh. Too bad what happened to him. :(

I think an arguement could be made that Ron Hextall was a star Goalie in his prime. he won the Conn Smythe Trophy and the Vezina Trophy in 86 87

I won't argue that, but he just couldn't get them a Cup. That was great when he first broke into the league and just wanted to fight everyone. :)

NO freakin' way. You don't really believe that, do you? When a team loses in the finals and thier goalie STILL wins the Conn Smythe I think it's time to blame somebody OTHER than the goalie. Hextall is the MAN and always will be!!!:thumb:

OK, fair enough. Maybe in his early years he could have gotten them a cup (good point about the Smythe trophy). But in his mid to later years, he was not the same goalie. But then again, Detroit did win a cup with Chris Osgood (I am still trying to figure that one out)

I got ya' covered on that one. The Flyers went through the entire regular season and three rounds of the play-offs playing a certain style of hockey. (Broad Street Bully style.) Then, in the finals, the coach up and decided they would be better off playing a DIFFERENT style of hockey against Detroit. (European style) Detroit proceeded to bash thier freakin' brains in because they had prepared to play against the Broad Street Bullies but ended up facing the Philadelphia figure skating team. It was an embarrassment and the only time in history I fully supported a coaches firing after a series loss. It was a 100% coaching error and he deserved to get the axe.

The Flyers are finally back to playing that tough nosed style of hockey again they just haven't remembered how to put the puck in the net yet. I'm pretty sure they'll survive the first round on sheer brutality but if they don't start scoring in massive quantities I don't see them making it through the second round. :(

I wish they would have showed up at all tonight.
...remember how to put the puck in the net... 3 full regualation games and 0 goals, it is just killing me.
the Flyers were one and done all night, it was pathetic. no rebounds and nobody infront=no goals. the dump and watch game is just horrible. the only bright spot tonight was the play of Roman, but goaltending alone isn't gonna help when all of your big guns are standing around watching the other team play. the

All I keep hearing is "we are getting chances and we can't seem to find a way to score" who do they think they are kidding?? I am so sick of all the excuses. they need to pick their heads out of their asses and realise that its not the Sens that are beating them its themselves.

Didn't Bobby Clarke spend 100 million US this past summer? I think he should be asking those guys for a pay cut and refunding some of the money to the fans. Man Flyers looked realllllyyyy bad.
GO LEAFS GO!

Sure, the Flyers stunk the place up, but let's take any credit away from Ottawa. They stuck to their game plan and played very soild D.

Yeah, gotta give credit where credit is due. I'm also gonna second Digger's emotion, I WANT A REFUND!!! You would think that after four games (going back to last year) of watching the dump and run game do NOTHING they'd try something.......ANYTHING else. :(

Go Ottawa  Go Ottawa  Go Ottawa  Go Ottawa

Boy, I'm gonna shove Lindros right up your ass. :fire:

Given the circumstances, I think Radek Bonk would make a better choice. :D

Well, he was the "hero" last night but we SHOULDN'T have to worry about a guy that scores ONE goal in, what? Seven years?

Im not taking anything away from the Sens. They did play tough D and beat the Flyers for every lose puck and won the battles along the boards. Gotta remember though it's only a 1 game difference.

Bonk had a very impressive, high scoring pre-NHL career, playing for the Las Vegas Thunder of the independent IHL. :D And didn't he go #1 in the draft a few years ago?
