How black children view white children

All joking aside I feel sad for those kids....these are just kids, they don't know any better.

There is so much negativity to just being black that maybe in their young minds they find comfort in those little dolls.

The really funny part is that Mexican have neither the Spanish good looks or the American Indians well formed bodies.

They're short, pudgy, homely, and can't grow a real beard.
I agree to a certain extent, the short pudgy ones have very, very little European blood in them.

A good example would be the Hispanics from the caribbean, there are quite a few who I have met that can pass for an white person.

That's some good shit right there. Don't agree with all of it, but you sound just as passionate as I am about the beliefs I have installed into myself. :clapping:
Should we start with the wedding arrangements? :p

I wonder what influence Television and the media has on the childs view point?

Did they use other races of kids to see what doll they chose?

Growing up I would think there was no such race as the black race, they were hardly ever on TV.
Well Soul Train was on.

The 70's started to show a few.

Now I you see a lot of black shows....the funny thing is if you they have one white guy they usually have him portrayed as a nerd, goofy dummy kid.
That's racist.

But I am sure they catch some of the news media, where african american people don't portray themselves to be good people.

most of the cartoons when I was a kid used black face paint in the cartoons to make fun of black people. I am sure there are still biasis that occur today that influence innocent minds

Ground breaking!!! 15 out of 21 children preferred the white doll. Any statistician will tell you that a sample group of 21 is pathetically small.

It doesn???t even qualify. The central limit therom says you must have n >= 30 samples before you are allowed normal distribution. You can not do a fucking study with 21 samples, or anybody who knows shit will fucking laugh at you.

I don't know about that anymore, now that I am paying more attention to the local media I would say it's not that much of a difference, you would expect more crime in the slums....

you do remember the part where it is a 17 year old girl who did the study after reading up on brown vs board of education 50 years ago, right? the fact a 17 year old girl was reading, and something worth reading about should be the most astonishing thing here. i think we can cut her a little slack that she only used 21 kids most likely from the same area to make her 8 min documentary.

Where the heck else was she going to find
young black test candidates?...

... Montana?!?

Or maybe it's just something a bit more simplistic than that? Maybe they're not fond of the blacks doll because and they're dark and seemingly foreboding.

Put another way, maybe it's because the blacks children, like all children, like bright, eye catching, objects.

Why not do the same thing with dark purples dolls and bright green dolls?

She has the support of black leaders and other politicians using this garbage to try to insinuate something. I could be wrong, but I am 95% sure this will be distorted somehow to show that white people are holding the black race down.

If the people supporting her and her work gave a damn about the legitimacy of the work they would have told her to go back and do the study again with the proper numbers so that her work would be respected by professionals. Any professional that has a minimal amount of intelligence knows that her work doesn???t mean shit, because it was not done properly.

I studied statistics for 2 years, and we laugh at studies like hers everyday. Show me some real numbers like a good sample size, a confidence interval, margin of error, with a Student???s T-test and a Fishers statistic, and I might reconsider my position. Otherwise it is total bullshit.

I thought the same thing. It wasn't a race issue but a darker color doll just seems less appealing.I stated that I thought it was people over analyzing this and making it a race issue and seemingly everyone disagreed with me.I too belive it wasn't a race issue but the white doll was more appealing and simply looked better.I would like to see studies on other colores because these are children with innocent minds who I don't think are that concerned with the race issue or didn't take that into consideration in their decision.

Maybe it is about race. Maybe the kids are afraid that the black doll is going to jack their tricycle?

It's funny that most people (and not just here on IM), tend to just repeat what they're told.

:clapping: so true

I feel most racists just want to feel that they have someone that is below them, that they are better than. I think it is stupid that someone thinks they are better than someone else because of there race.

It is not race that makes a person who they are, it is culture. Not all white people have the same culture, not all black people have the same culture, etc. so don't base your thoughts on someones race.

Your conclusions about the pervasiveness of culture in races is incorrect.
