I've had a few trap injuries always my right however. I would suggest just do those exercises that don't aggravate the injury and ice the affected area regularly alternating with hot packs also helped my injuries. getting a massage may help. if it doesn't show signs of improvement it may be an idea to see a physio.
I got that part, just avoid anything that causes you pain and ice where you feel the pain. it could be a more middle trap issue than upper traps hence you only feel the discomfort when training back
I agree, and just keep in mind that often once an injured area warms up properly it doesnt hurt that bad or at all, that doesnt mean its not injured though and that youre not doing damage to it.
