those guys you see that seem to always have 6 pack abs and always look pretty ripped seem to do it? I am not talking about bodybuilders who lose the weight for a show and then "get the gut" again in the off-season, I am just talking about people you see, whether on TV or at the beach, or at the gym that ALWAYS have 6 pack abs, ripped muscles, etc.....From what I understand, for me to get a 6 pack and get ripped I would have to go on the conventional "cutting phase diet" to get that way, but how does one find a happy medium, where they are happy with their muscular size and happy with their bodyfat % all the time?

If I hit a personal best lift in the gym one day, I may want to eat everything in sight so that next time I can beat that mark and get bigger, then the next day I will say, I want a 6 pack, and then try to do that. But there are those people who are contstantly lean, and have muscle, not scrawny little skinny guys...how do they do it?

I know the type you are talking about; one of my training partners was lucky enough to be ripped 365 days a yr. I can only speak for him, it was a genetic thing. All his family members were athletic and lean.

This bro thought potatoe chips and a can of pepsi was a great meal...j/k. But he did have diet and training habits that were horrible and he continued to get bigger and leaner (drug free).

They (genetic freaks) are rare.
 
im one of those. Im down to a two and a half pack now though since i started feeding my face more. Its all diet for me, ive always had "muscular" abs, just right now their packed under some body fat. :) My friends used to get pissed becuase i had a 6 pack with no ab work. :thumb:
 
99% genetics, 1% diet, or so it seems...
