This is how I scored. It might be kind of fun to see how everyone does. this is only meant to be a fun little exercise. I don't think the available answers, or the questions are worded properly, but maybe it will generate some discussion.

I don't know how accurate this is. The questions were pretty much black/white; either you're for it or against it. I was unsure on #12, unemployment or inflation. That's kind of like asking would you rather have AIDS or cancer.

sounds like you failed the test.

like I said to begin with, the questions/answers are worded wrong, but hell it's a 20 question test from a biased website. who cares? just answer it already and show us your scores.

so which questions didn't you like the available answers to?

for how heated this board gets politically, most here seem to be pretty moderate so far.

I have always said I agree and disagree with both parties on different issues, which is why I would never claim to be either.

it makes sense, for some its personal, some social, some ethical on which way they lean.

# Public education could be improved by

* Having a voucher system
* Revoking No Child Left Behind

Both of these options are a weak ass attempt to help education.

# Some people have less luck than others

* True
* False

This is a philosophical question. You could write series off books about this one question, and still only scratch the service.

# Taxes should be...

* Cut to stimulate the economy and give people more of their money back.
* Something the rich pay more of. They can afforded.

I don't agree with either one of these.

# The problem with the US justice system is:

* Not enough rehabilitation and prisoner's rights
* Too many plea bargains and loose interpretations of law

Both of these answers are correct.

I put true here, i think it could be discussed, but series of books? damn. lol

So whats your take on taxes then?

Both of these answers are correct.I agree with this except the prisoners rights part.

Like Kelju, I disagree with several of those questions and feel that my answers don't really reflect my feelings on the question. It was just the closer of the two. I also feel that some of the things considered liberal on there are actually very conservative, but that's a viewpoint thing.

like what do you consider conservative that this felt was liberal? do you consider yourself a moderate? thats what this test shows you to be. I have my concerns with the questions as well, but overall I do consider myself as leaning conservative

I've got to admit I'm very surprised that there is someone that liberal on this board. I figured just about everybody would be a shade of moderate around here. I stand corrected

Off of the top of my head, the one about fighting wars in violation of international law. I feel that saying that our wars should follow international laws that we've agreed to isn't a conservative/liberal issue. Though if I had to choose, I'd say that the survey should rank it conservative.

We agreed to the laws, therefore we should honor it. Violating those laws is no different than violating the Constitution, especially since the Constitution actually ranks treaties as #2 right underneath itself.

Violating those laws is neither liberal nor conservative, it's hypocritical and morally wrong.

As for my views, I consider myself to be pretty conservative but in the classical sense. I do not side with modern conservatives. Many of the questions they posed I would have voted "That is a States issue, not a Federal one". Maybe these days, that's considered moderate.

Interesting link, some of those questions were loaded as well as offering no real options in the choices provided.

I refuse to take a test that only has one axis...I like that other test that graphs you on an x,y grid. The questioning and ranking were much better because so many folks are all over the place not just left or right of center....
