I'm in a similar situation. I'm at college and been lifting since mid septemberish as well as eating correctly. I've always sort of lifted on and off because my father has been for 30+ yrs, but never got as serious as I've been. When I came home last thursday, my dad was like "holy shit, you got fking huge"!Woody_London said:I have been weightlifting for the past four months. The first two months I didn't read up on weightlifting and threw myself into it. The upshot was I wasn't eating enough and overtraining. In the third month I started to read up and increased my calorie intake but was still overtraining. Only for the past month have I been training with a proper program (Max-OT) and eating properly. I have now started to notice my body changing shape and it's a real boost.
How long was it before you looked in a mirror and thought wow? I know every one is different but how long do I need to wait before I notice a big difference?
I can't say I cannot notice my gains but its not like I wake up one morning and my biceps are 3" bigger. I think the best way is to have progress pictures as stated above. Then you will notice a big difference, I know I do.
